Astrid started her career in Amsterdam at the French bank BNP – currently BNP Paribas – in 1989. During the next seven years she worked at the L/C department, business development department and credit department - first as a credit analyst and for a short period head of the department. After having moved to Dronten, she found a new job at Syscon in Lelystad as administrative employee. For a brief period she did accounting at Rescue 3000 in Dronten. After the birth of her third son she applied for the job of administrative employee at Phaff in 2002 where she has been working since.

Leisure: Coach junior hockey team, voluntary driver "meals on wheels", reading, theater
